District Policy Establishing a Healthy Vending Program

A healthy vending policy gives a school district the opportunity to control the array of products sold or advertised to students while generating much-needed revenue from the agreement. This model will help a school district create a healthy vending program that fits within any established wellness policy by making sure products sold meet the wellness policy's nutritional standards.

This sample policy is provided as a guide and is not offered or intended as legal advice. Readers should seek the advice of an attorney when confronted with legal issues, and attorneys should perform an independent evaluation of the issues raised.
